Vacancy: Foodbank Manager (20hrs/week)

We are seeking to recruit a new part time Foodbank Manager based at Callington Foodbank

You will oversee the work and development of the Foodbank, taking responsibility for each session, supporting clients and volunteers. You will work closely with the trustees with project oversight responsibility.

You will continue to develop the ethos and sustainability of Callington Foodbank.

You will be responsible for liaising with clients, volunteers, funders, food providers and referrers so we require someone who is self-motivated & hard-working.  Ideally, you will have experience of managing and energising volunteers and will be at ease working in a team environment.

You will possess good IT skills and be comfortable with internet/social media etc.

The appointment is for 20hours a week to include foodbank sessions.   Specific working hours are negotiable.  The post-holder should expect to work overtime at certain peak times, Hours may be worked flexibly according to the demands of the role.  They will usually, but not always include Foodbank opening times, which are currently:

Monday:            10am – 4pm

Wednesday:             10am – 4pm

Friday:             10am – 4pm

These times are subject to any future change

This position is subject to successful grant funding and will initially be for a 12-month period, (extension beyond this is intended but not guaranteed and may be subject to further successful grant funding) It is also subject to completion of a satisfactory 3-month probation period. A DBS check will be required

Salary:                                 Renumeration is negotiable, reflecting the experience of the applicant and the responsibilities of the role

Pension:                             Contributory workplace pension is available.

Holiday allowance:          112 hours per year total (Inc. Public Holidays)
